Crockett's right. Next time I go arc-welding in art class I'm wearing a bathing suit and slippers.

To hell with conformity.

Don't be so mad because you know deep down inside that I'm right. Those little sleeveless leather vests and chaps are nothing more than costume pieces. If you want protection then you have to wear proper gear, not what you think looks stylish...

Actually wearing a bathing suit and slippers would be about as useful as wearing a leather vest and chaps on a motorcycle or wearing a cowboy outfit with out any Indians to chase. Wear the proper gear not what you might think is stylish. Your going in the wrong direction here..

Not mad, bordering on feeling sorry for your caretakers.

Your argument with uniforms was that people use them as an identity crutch. If you wear XYZ, you are XYZ.

Now you are saying somebody can't wear a cowboy outfit because they are not chasing Indians. And you are saying that a bike rider should wear proper protective gear, which is in fact a "uniform" of most crotch rocket riders.

Fun troll though.

I didn't say bike riders shouldn't wear proper safety gear, I said they look silly when they try to look like they are in the Tour de France. The reason the professionals wear the skin tight stuff is for aerodynamics.

Most of these people riding around cities wearing their whole stylish gett up likely don't get over 15mph. Meaning they don't need the fancy pants that make them look silly they could wear normal clothes and ride their bikes just fine..

As for cowboy outfits, I never said people can't wear them, I said they look like a clown. Why do people still dress up like cowboys when there hasn't been any real cowboys in a 150 years or more.

Might as well dress up like a pirate. I mean really does this look any less silly than dressing up as a pirate?
