They just need to look for programs that support and conduct business in a way that will keep them going. Stop sending traffic to sites that are killing them off. Yes we do some things to draw our own traffic, but nothing that would hurt the industry or affiliate model, I'm sure there are enough other programs like mine to keep their sites going.

funerals are depressing.

you know what ... look at all the newbies here, i mean people registered after 2007 fpr example ... all you oldschool brothers are just putting shit on them, laughing and trolling them hard, because you know some of them may take piece of your traffic, so thats also why not so many affiliates active here, because it is a battlefield, and not place where they can get startup help ... but, its not only gfy, nobody will share knowhow nowadays :winkwink: have luck with your business everyone! :thumbsup

I think its also that there are other options that in alot of ways are better.

I still visit daily but then again i never meant a lot in this industry. Started as a naughtycelebs.com affiliate (hence the shortname Naughty) with naughtycelebs.co.uk. Some design stuff and EU programs. Had my foot in almost everything at one time or another while trying to use the adlt dynamics for mainstream business.

Most of the 'regulars' feel like family to me even though all but a few never met me in person. For me it is like Cheers in here and i am at the corner of the bar minding my own business. I have an opinion of most here since i have been around since year 1.

I miss several death folks, wonder where others are and am glad to see some old (elderly as Amp likes to put it;-)) regulars now and then.

Off the board i like to maintain in contact with some i got to know pretty well from back in the days, like Tam (who is still here a lot though). I know people's stories, family matters, heard stories about their kids grow up and whatnot.

Hard to imaging life goes by pretty fast. 13 years on here alone, 17 years in online bizz. Life is passed before you know it.

Concerning amp, read your posts in this thread and all i thought was you 'revived' twice since his board started then. As i can remember you had 'war' issues too in the beginning here that you had to cope with, that was then, this is now.

I still have a local startpage with like that i never changed, it is full of 2000-2001 links to boards i used to visit daily and sites i had to keep track of. All but a few are 404.

Its life. Personally i hope this one stays as is where the elderly sometimes come and take a look. Its like the city you grew up in that changed, buildings were built and already taken down again and made place for other bigger buildings. I walked in a supermarket last sunday in the city i grew up in, it is a college town so mostly 18-26 year olds constantly. I saw only new young faces and then a guy i knew from back in the days and we both looked surprised to see eachother and before we 'registered' we had walked on. That is GFY.

Hopefully i will see these old faces for a long long time. I take pride in my registration date here. It is nice to know where you come from.

Oh, and i do think some people bring the board down with their negativity and i poop, am poor, suck and am nobody posts. They best leave and in exchange i'd like DamageX and others back, even though i did not even know they were banned.

Good post.

When i see some old threads bumped and scroll through the posts and notice some of the names of posters who once frequented here, and it makes me remember the time when no matter when you logged on here, there was plenty of activity. Even it much of it was just random stuff. Even late on a Friday night, if i was in the house having a drink and just messing about, i could log on here and there was still plenty going on.

People forget, it this board was all just business, most would lose interest.

It's always been a mix of both. Since so many have moved on from the industry, and you don't get as many industry noobs, it's obvious you won't get so many biz threads. Why this still seems to surprise people baffles me...

My problem is how you have a problem with a problem which in reality it is not a problem.

Damn my luck, I just signed up for a dying place. lol..anyway just wanted to say hi to everybody that's still around...(this is my first post btw)

Back a few years (2002ish) if you were not logged in all day to see what was up ... you missed out on 50 threads and all sorts of lunacy. It was like being in an out of control frat house.

Far slower pace these days ....

A lot of people have simply packed up and moved onto other things. It's called Life :)
