After the fertilizer plant blew up in Texas, this is how they prevent another..

Remember last year when lax regulations led to homes, schools and even a nursing homes being built next to a fertilizer plant which later blew up killing who knows how many and destroying half the town..

You might think, they would finally "get it". Umm. Nope it's Texas and their good ole boy Republican Governor fixed things Texas style, rather than fixing anything at all, they simply removed all hazardous material data, and won't let the public see it. Meaning now no one has a clue what is being stored in these plants nor can they find out.

The reason being, they claim they are keeping people safe from bombs...

Yea the best part is they are putting firemen and even police officers in danger not just the public. Just like at the fertilizer plant where 15 firemen were killed in the explosion, due to no one knowing the plant was holding far more chemicals than they were supposed to.. Well now they just won't know at all, what they are dealing with, the next time a chemical storage facility or plant catches on fire..

Republican Voters in Texas should be furious right now. It's a democrat that is raising the question of why this was suddenly changed. She deserves the TExas vote, doesn't she?

because.. it's business as usual in that part of the world? my understanding is these plants are literally built in the middle of towns with no oversight.

As a Texan, I have to say that Perry is an idiot, just like little Bush before him. It will take several good governors in a row (if we ever get one) to fix the things they have destroyed. The things they did to education alone are horrendous.
