good god, the hate is starting to spread to the original 3 now? Return of the Jedi was fucking awesome, hands down. Criticizing it 30 years later is ludicrous. If you go over the first two movies you can find oddities and odd choices in those as well, doesn't make them any worse.

I'm really excited for the new Star Wars movie, especially since it has the original cast returning, and because its directed by JJ Abrams who did a great job on Star Trek and Mission Impossible 3 (MI 1 was the best, MI2 sucked).
And maybe Tom Cruise is wonky, but he's a great actor. I thought Edge of Tomorrow was kind of so-so, but I *LOVED* Oblivion and Vanilla Sky. If you really want to see what a good actor he can be though, watch Born on the Fourth of July.
Should Cruise be in the next Star Wars? No, not even in a Cameo.
Don't bash the current Star Wars makers for considering Tom Cruise though. George Lucas after all, Actually shot scenes with NSYNC for Star Wars Attack of the Clones before finally listening to others who begged him to yank those scenes out of the final print. why...i didnt like it in 1983 & GFY did not exist for me to post about it.
its just IMO. i thought the ewoks were stupid, there was no action from the death of jabba to the final attack. the whole thing that leia is suddenly a jedi sister was retarded & pointless. what did that revelation add to the story? only that Han was relieved when he was no longer competing for Leias pussy.
i am not exactly alone on this cause rottentomatoes lists episode 4 at 93%, episode 5 at 96% & episode 6 at 78%.
i do however agree that leia in a bikini did start the movie off well.

Over the years, seeing many of the documentaries on the making of Star Wars, I'm of the opinion that the movies were great in spite of George Lucas. It seems that the more creative control he got, the cheesier it got. Case in point, Ewoks, the "Special Editions" effects added later. And the last 3 movies. I had hoped Disney and Abrams would have learned from the franchises past mistakes, I'm still holding on to a glimmer of hope though.Rich"at"rebel-ads.com
