5 Terrible Secrets Big Drug Companies Don't Want You to Know
![]() http://www.cracked.com/article_21345...u-to-know.html "If you go by their portrayal in movies and TV shows, you'd think that huge pharmaceutical corporations make all their money by turning children into zombies and having them steal grandma's heart medication, or whatever the plot of Resident Evil was. But the truth is that Big Pharma (as hippies and crackpots call it) isn't a modern-day Legion of Doom. They're businesses focused on making money, just like every other company out there ... which isn't to say they aren't capable of evil. They totally are. It's just that their evil usually involves less illegal genetic experiments and more down-to-earth dick moves like ..." #5. Repackaging Medication to Trick You into Taking It #4. Your mind is the only weak gateway there is. I hate when people say that alcohol, cannabis or whatever is a gateway drug. You do the choice, you're the weak one. There's no such thing as "gateway-drugs".

![]() Then we also have painkillers causing new health problems in previously healthy people e.g. Ibuprofen causing heart attacks/strokes, the survivors are then put on drugs to control their heart/blood pressure problems (normally for life), though there was no real problem to begin with. Gets another customer rebilling who had only ever started with a headache. They deliberately make the painkillers dangerous in an attempt to expand their market ![]()

Large corporations are filled with people all about making a buck as quickly as possible, with as little work as possible -- so this makes sense.

no, sorry that is the exact opposite of the truth. If you said something to the fact that taking it too much had detrimental effects to the liver or kidneys it may have been more credible but you chose the wrong one and now look like a moron... again...

You should chat with people who do long hikes, like the pacific crest trail (about 3000 miles) or the Appalachian trail (2100 miles). They call it "Vitamin I" and take it daily with very few breaks.

http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/213506.php Long-term high-dose use of Ibuprofen is "equally hazardous" in terms of heart attack risk as use of the drug Vioxx http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/...94S1FV20130529 FAQ: Heart Disease -Dr. William Grossman, Director of the Center for Prevention of Heart and Vascular Disease at UCSF http://www.ucsfhealth.org/education/heart_disease/ "Ibuprofen, such as Advil, Motrin or Ibuprofen, can cause marked worsening of existing hypertension (high blood pressure) or development of new high blood pressure. It can also cause damage to the kidneys (nephrotoxicity), worsening of heart failure, and even heart attack or stroke. Outside of the cardiovascular system, its major risk is to the stomach, where it can cause ulceration and gastrointestinal bleeding."
