Sorry, man. Much of that is out dated thinking. Farmers in central valley and many places are having trouble finding workers because their old work faces are opting for a better life in the cities and towns.
I admit many American workers are failures. But certainly you do not rehabilitate them by allowing millions of people into the country illegally. Those people are fighting for the same jobs now. America is a mcJob country now.
I come from the generation that thinks if the FEDs want it, it must be bad. And in this case that thinking certainly applies.
How does the southwest support millions of extra people when the water supplies are fading rapidly? De-salination is years away for the southwest. Thats a technical fact. It appears they have not solved the ocean water retrieval part of the job without sucking up everything in front of the intake valves. lol.

Actually, all the "science" shows that man has contributed to global warming. Just because your side sucks at science doesn't mean that global warming is a absolute. But that said, I went on to include the liberal view is not doing itself any favors as the current behavior(?) doesn't coincide truly with that definition yu posted, and such viewpoints and take it or leave it arguments such as the science is settled only really hinder getting more people on board to not pollute or on-board with any goals on the liberal agenda.Comment

The so called liberal agenda when it comes to environmental issues, is aimed at protecting our national resources. One would think that having clean air to breathe or clean water to drink might be a universal need and want not a political football. However much like all the other big issues the right has turned them into political arguments and as always there is some lobby that has a vested interest that is paying them.

I agree with you, thus the science is settled example. Making shit political never helps anything, except politicians and the media.
Of course we should all want to have a pleasant environment. While a lot if people don't give a shit at all about that just because they don't, many people don't pollute less simply because they fall on the other side of the politics of it and that disallows them.
It would be the same if the debate of pollution was spun into a religious debate. God says you will burn in hell if you pollute and rest assured quite a few people will intentionally pollute.Comment

Ummm the last time the co2 levels were as high as they are today was during a time of massive volcanic activity.. Do we have massive volcanic activity right now? Nope we sure don't.. They don't care about pollution either. The people might, but not the Republican law makers whom are getting paid by big oil, coal and gas lobbies.
Just look at the Texas deal with fracking. The actual Texas state railroad commission whom is in charge of drilling in Texas was just caught outright lying about findings of a well that contaminated ground water.
Just 2 days ago again with fracking, it was released that Pennsylvania's health dept was told to ignore anyone whom called asking about health related issues and fracking and they were specifically told not to return calls of people calling about fracking related issues.
Then look at coal. The right non stop bitches about anything at all that is attempted to ween us off coal or oil for that matter. In Louisiana, the governor signed a bill into law that stops any lawsuits for damages by big oil's pollution of the coast lines.
These things all go on and on and there are countless examples and behind almost all of them is Republican support. The simple fact is, if it harms big business in any way as in cutting profit, Republicans have shown time and time again by their actions that they will allow the pollution to continue.

That's where the opportunity is for changing polluting behaviors. Won't be everyone though. Every time I walk down the streets of downtown Los Angeles, which is every day, I see people flick ciggarette butts onto the sidewalk/street. It doesn't matter which side of the politics those polluters fall on, anyone will have a hard time reasoning with a cigg smoking polluter.Comment

While I can't stand people whom litter either, there is only so much you can do. For example I'm parked right now at the end of a street in Denver. There is a sign right behind me that says $750 dollar fine for dumping. Despite the risk of such a high fine, there is stuff dumped all over. People just don't care. The worst thing is there is a public landfill probably 5 miles from here.
I mean really Litter is something that really pisses me off because it's just pure laziness and really there is zero excuse for it. The worst is going to a national park and seeing plastic bottles thrown on the ground or other random trash, even with trash cans around.
