Oculus Rift DK2 - anyone pre ordered yet?

I'm not a developer, so no need for me to buy this. I'm only interested in the consumer release.

It is only $350 and still works on a huge number of games, just buy it again when it is released for the consumer.

After they fucked over dozens (100s?) of kickstarter donators im not sure you should trust them with any money

They started a kickstarter project to raise money,managed to get $2,5 million soon after sold the whole thing to facebook and pocketed $2billion.
Donators got nothing (yet?) and the final product is nothing like the one they donated for

We have the first version. I tried playing TF2, its cool at first but after about 2 minutes i'm nasueas for the next hour. Brutal.

I experienced the same thing. I think this could be cool technology for exploring titles that don't require a lot of head movement.

Maybe you can get used to it but most people's brains do not like that kind of rapid movement.

I can understand why people would be pissed off, however kickstarter isn't exactly an investment...

I am pretty sure I read that the DK2 solved some of this nausea problem.

"DK2 uses a low persistence OLED display to eliminate motion blur and judder, two of the biggest contributors to simulator sickness. Low persistence makes the scene appear visually stable, increasing the potential for presence."

Same here...my buddy has the version 1 developer edition. I rode the roller coaster video a few times, while it was amazing and you felt like you were there. It gave me full on nausea and vertigo.
