Winning a Go Daddy auction
This past Monday I won and paid for a domain through Go Daddy auctions. I was in regular communication with the seller through the "Comment" section of the bid.
The domain is still now in "Authorization" phase. What's the hold up? Go Daddy or the seller?

It takes several days Sly since it's all done via email. GD will keep pushing the transaction though since that's how they make their nickel. In the end GD will be the Registrar. You'll need to wait the ICANN required 60 days to transfer it away if that's your desire.

For domains purchased through GoDaddy auctions, I believe it takes 5 business days for GoDaddy to confirm the funds have cleared before they authorize the change of ownership. I would expect that you'll have the domain in your account on Monday or Tuesday at the latest.

GD told me it could take up to 2 weeks when I won an auction. But the domain was in my account in 6 days.

I sold a domain a couple of months ago, when someone contacted me via GoDaddy about buying it from me, using this system.
The whole process took about 7 days.
