ok, i'll be more specific. all the electronics should be alpine. they are pretty much the _cleanest_, and have generally better frequency ranges. i wouldn't mess with fosgate, i get the feeling those are "moderate audio for the masses". you're asking for good stuff, right?

speakers, go with boston pros. they're $$$$, but soooo worth it.

subs, i'd suggest jl audio. wide range of levels for your desire and budget, and they sound good too.

jl also makes decent amps for subs. alpine's sub amps aren't really powerful. they work, but they only go up to about a 300W cont mono. get a jl 1000w mono.

eclipse also makes some pretty good stuff, fairly comparable to alpine, so that gets my vote too

They make great mini-monitors, AND amps.

I can vouch for the JL, I love the shit out of mine.

My car is a work in progress. I go in next month to have the sub enclosure built.

Got the Boston Z5s in all 4 doors. Its like heaven. Your ears will bleed before they even remotely distort.

No I dont bump, I hate that shit. I just like a full rich sound.

Best? McIntosh... but they're pretty expensive. Next step down would be Precision Power (PPI). Next step down IMO is JL, but that's arguable.
