Tell this to a Jew. Blood means a lot for them, much more than for average American. Israel's law on repatriation ("Law of Return") is based mostly on blood, on jewish ancestry.
And when people talk about Muslims, I'd bet most of them mean just any Arab or any other Middle Easterner/North African.

Sure, there's a lot of convertes ones. Still it's mostly semitic-looking people who draw all the hate (I don't imply this hate is not well deserved though). You can call them not race but nation or ethno-group, this probably would be more correct term. But "nazist" and "nazism" terms historically have been too tightly bound to Nazi Germany and are more about exalting their own nation than about hating some specific other nation(s). "Antisemit" or "Antimuslim" or "Antiarabian" are fine too, but "racist", while not 100% correct, is just a generalization of these "Anti" - views. And again, I'm not implying that racism or any "anti-" are 100% bad things per se.Comment
