let me know how that works out for you. It's the whole pinup culture majority are tattooed
Exactly. The just had the Burlesque Hall Of Fame weekend here with literally thousands of girls (and men) of all types.
And almost 100% of the "pinup girls" who were there were tattooed.
Not sure when it started to be like that (not in the 1930's, unless the photos were retouched), but they all are now.
Maybe it was from the original pinup girls from all those years ago...as I understand it pinup girl tattoos on men were all the rage. Military guys used to get their favorite pinup girl tattooed on their arms.
Maybe that's where modern day retro-pinup girls got that from?

I don't know why, but I love the retro look, particularly the hair-styles. I don't know why it has become part of the tattoo culture, but I'm OK with that.
I saw some commercial for a show about hair of all things, and a quick clip of a retro model who does her own vintage hairstyles sent me scurrying to the computer to find out who she was. http://www.cherrydollface.com/

OMFG, have you watched that show? It came on after the wife and I were watching Petals in the Wind or whatever. I couldn't stop staring at those little people. It was such a train wreck.
