I don't expect AHF will give up on the condom issue. I expect them to use California as an example ( if AB 1576 wins & enforcement by CalOSHA ) for other states to follow.

He's going to go by state if he has to. This guy is relentless.

Refresh my memory. How many porn stars have had gotten or passed on AIDS ever in the past 3-4 decades versus how many contracted AIDS just last year in Africa.

10 years ago or so i read that 22% of women in South Africa had AIDS - are the numbers higher or lower now?

It's all about $$$ for AHF...

But I do believe they are in Africa handing out condoms though.

The real shame is there's HIV+ patients in LA County that are going untreated as AHF spends millions on stopping HIV in porn when it's not an issue. That should be their priority.

Listen to you guys bitching and whining about how AHF should be spending their money...and you wonder why you're getting your asses kicked.

Much of the LA-based adult industry is on the run (mostly to Las Vegas), and Michael Weinstein and the AHF, who have the momentum, are right behind them (actually they are ahead of the adult industry, but in their blind panic, the fleeing pornographers cannot see this).

What are the "leaders" of the adult industry doing to counter this? The FSC is a cluster fuck, whose board includes members that have been fined by OSHA at the behest of the AHF (the AHF is attacking the adult industry at the fortified Armory no less, and winning - Kink was fined $75,000 on at least one occasion for OSHA violations, and rumors are they are working on converting the Armory to commercial office space).

So what exactly are the leaders of the adult industry doing to turn things around?











Instead of worrying about how the AHF is spending the money it has raised by poking the adult industry in the eye, they should be organizing their own political war chest and counter-strategy, because their arguments and strategies to date are weak and have been ineffective.

With the leadership currently in place, and no apparent plan other than to continue to retreat, the future does not bode well for porn in the USA...



FWIW, although I have little faith in the large adult companies to do anything effective, I haven't given up hope - I'm in the process of building an entirely new adult-oriented company.
