Serious Question...
I'm just trying to understand why someone bills with a third party and not your own setup?
Is it your credit is bad? Is it that you have been told that security is an issue? Do not look at my sig... just trying to understand why people *willingly* give almost 15% of their earnings and think it is ok?? Forget about all the other stuff about doubling... tripling... quadrupling sales by billing yourself... What is the issue? Chargeback concerns? What is it? p.s. fuck you all, thank you |

There are lots of reasons.
You can use your own merchant account but it means getting one set up with a bank. Your own bank may not want to process for adult for example. Your bank takes on risks processing for you which means you have to have good credit, good processing history, etc. Using a 3rd party company has benefits. They are usually easier to set up and approval is easier too. 3rd party companies combine both merchant processing, a payment gateway, and user management. Some 3rd party processors offer built-in affiliate programs and a multitude of billing options that may not be normally available to you. They also offer billing and technical support to your customers which smaller companies may not be able to take on. The best thing to do is to contact the ones you like and ask each of them all of the questions you can think of, then decide which one(s) are best for you and your business.

I think it is very easy to do it yourself though... actually I know it is. I think most people want their napkins folded though... because they are used to folded napkins. |

All major sites have direct mids. Smaller guys and startups use 3rd party cause its easier 100x and or they dont know better. The % they give up on 1000$ a month or more makes no difference and is less than time and cost of setting up mids.
/end beaver regurgitating the same shiitttttt |
