    ALERT: Tube Sites Are Almost DEAD. Help!

    This is really utterly unbelievable, I don't understand how come porn can just die out like that. I know, the overall adult industry may not be as shiny as in the past, but I cannot explain to myself, how come the major porn tube sites declined SO MUCH in traffic; where do all of the people go? I'm not just referring to the last month, obviously you realized I'm talking about the whole decline.

    HOW IS IT POSSIBLE for this to happen? I am sure it can't be due so called "no fap" programs, trend etc. How can so many people stop fapping "at once"? For every one person 'quitting' watching porn, there should be 2 others starting watching it, if we would assume that the world's population is growing day by day - in theory, I know.

    Either way, the big porn tube sites should be ASHAMED for letting something like this happen. It's clear they don't care much and became too LAZY. Obviously this affects a lot of us, from small to big.

    Sure, you might say.. what is for them to do? Well, when you own that much power, I'm pretty sure you can always do something about it. And they can, there is no way you can tell me that they do not have to power to correct/adjust/improve this decline.

    But, it's still inexplicable, where on earth is this big DROP in traffic coming from? How is it possible for porn to just die out like that.. it makes no sense.

    Any input and opinion towards this subject is very welcomed.

          Not going to happen, But if tube sites were to die out it would be the best thing to ever happen to this industry. On the bright side of things join ratios to my sites have not gone down. Then again I don't use tubes for getting traffic.

              Likely the decline of many of these tubes in googles results, there are many reasons for this. Also take into account that many other sources of traffic to these tubes. Lots of traffic sources tightened up their terms regarding adult sites. Or where did you think the traffic to these tubes was coming from to begin with?

                          Alexa rank never mattered before, why would it matter now? Truth is NONE of these "sources" truly know the traffic of ANY of your sites, my sites or anyones sites. These types of statistics are only reference points, and not very accurate ones to boot.

                          I believe that sure, they WILL experience SOME decline, as we all do. Until they step up and reevaluate, try new methods (whether good or bad) to get back what they lose.

                          SO MANY factors to consider.

                              Ive noticed worse traffic every week and so have a lot of people. Traffic has been on a massive decline for almost a year. How can people not want free porn? Thats like a fat kid saying "No candy for me today, Ill have a salad." It simply dont happen. the stats I gave were 100% correct. If traffic is going this low where the hell is it going? in febuary alone they lost 3-5 million people. This is nuts. The tube sites greed and lazyness will destroy them.

                                          I for one do not go to tubes for porn. on that same note, I don't see many porn sites I'm interested in joining either. I enjoy what I see on twitter much more than what tube sites have to offer

                                                                                              I type in my site in compete and its saying i have 23749 uniques for jan 2015, but actually I have 225,000 for that month, so yes, now u know how accurate that site is. So dont panic and rely on only one source to determine anything my friend.

                                                                                                                                              To be fair, on the one hand traffic and views from tubes has been bubbling along at an anemic level for quite some time now. This is due to many Programs closing shop, less production, more competition (more tubes), shifting focus (from desktop to mobile), and a few other factors. IF people are turning less to tubes it may be because when something is free it is no longer special. If you can go and see it anytime, instead of it being a secret/dirty thing you look forward to each day, then people will become more apathetic.

                                                                                                                                              Having said all that, there have been many, many attempts to deduce how profitable a tube is, how much traffic a tube gets, etc. You can search for those discussions right here on GFY. So it's nearly impossible to tell and even 'educated guesses' are just that, guesses.

                                                                                                                                              BTW: When people come into a thread like this and go "I don't rely on tubes for traffic" they are full of absolute bullshit. With some tubes, because of their upload system, you have to choose your own paysite amongst a list of hundreds already submitting vids. So I see EXACTLY which program does and does not play with tubes for traffic and I can tell you it's just about every one I see here on GFY. Just sayin'.

                                                                                                                                                  You can try quantcast estimates of traffic volume but they are off in real terms but they serve for a comparison only.



                                                                                                                                                  Tubecup has a questionable variance in traffic volume between the two sources.

                                                                                                                                                  Conclusion: Contradictory statistics with no reliable trending.
