    As a Jew I have to say that I'm COMPLETELY against this. There is no way that speech should be against the law, no matter how stupid or hateful. Making anti-semitic, or holocaust-denial speech specifically against the law is an even worse idea. It simply makes Jews in the EU seem somehow worthy of a higher level of protection, and causes more resentment against Jews over there. I just pray that this kind of stupid anti-free speech laws do not come to the US.

        Perhaps instead jail time better penalty would be to carry a banner in public with words like "i am stupid ass which denies holocaust"

                Come on man, if I had thin skin I wouldn't even be here. Thing is, this ain't the "real world" - it's a privately owned online business forum where the owners/mods can and do implement whatever rules they want. GFY is indeed unique for a business forum in that they allow a pretty huge range of non-business related (and arguably unprofessional) stuff, though when certain lines are crossed they do indeed bring the hammer down quick.

                Not really a big deal anyhow, my point was more that when times were good in the biz all the endless shit talking and trolling was kind of funny. Now that times are a little more grim for many it just comes across a little bit pathetic. Again, lotta bitter folks. Maybe I'm in the minority thinking that. Just my opinion, it is what it is....

                                    I totally understand and agree with you. I just wish the under 25 crowd here would put down their damn iphone for a second and do something.

                                    Almost daily there are HIA's on the train lines (human involved accidents) which almost always used to mean 'suicide'. Now its a question of whether the idiot walked off the platform while checking their mail. In the street, they are glued to them. When I see one coming in my direction I stop and wait to see if they will run into me. I usually make a sudden noise at last second. Scares the shit out of and embarrasses them. for a second or less.

                                    It is an amazingly high tech city/country and I love it. Wish I came 20 years ago.

                                        I won't get into a big long discussion about this, just wanted to get that out there... Judge by who that person is, not by what you think they represent based on something so silly as color of skin, sexual preference or whatever

                                                I do not dislike Jews, because of race... and this just goes to show just how ignorant the world is really becoming.

                                                I do not like the religions, especial Jews and Muslims for all the hate they spew against those who are not worshiping their god!

                                                I know many American Jews and Muslims that are very nice people and hate the religion aspect of their culture as well.

                                                Muslims and Jews are not a race..... It is religions and many people in the world abroad are so ignorant they are brainwashed into thinking they are a race.
