"Deontay Wilder is a pro boxing champion. Charlie Zelenoff only plays one on YouTube.
So, when Wilder — a 6’7″ heavyweight — took on Zelenoff — an Internet troll who boasts of 28 knockouts but in reality lost his only pro fight in the first round — the result was predictable.
Wilder, who is undefeated in 31 fights and won a bronze medal at the 2008 Olympics, only needed a few punches to dispense with Zelenoff, who spent much of the fight cowering on the floor.
Zelenoff, known for his self-aggrandizing, trash talk-filled YouTube videos, has apparently been harassing Wilder for years on social media and in text messages, using racial slurs and making threats against Wilder and his daughter.
Zelenoff had challenged Wilder to a fight and a fed-up Wilder took him up on it, meeting him at Hollywood Boxing Gym for a quick shellacking.
The experience does not appear to have humbled Zelenoff. He told TMZ.com he wants a rematch to prove Wilder is a “phony.”
“I was caught off-guard. He just got lucky,” Zelenoff told the website.
“Bring on Floyd Mayweather Jr.”
