      He's right in a way. When you have a Democratic president, the progressives tend to give him (or her) more slack than they should, and certainly much more leeway than they would ever give to a Republican.

      He also points out that Obama, whom Chomsky blames for trampling on civil rights, was still a far better option than the Republican alternatives for POTUS, which should give everyone something to think about.

      That said however, you shouldn't allow this information to dissuade you from buying an inexpensive Zoot Suit on eBay...
