What an amazing actor.....he was the only thing that made Cotton Club worth watching. We talk "talent" in Hollywood today far too loosely. Mr. Hoskins is one of those few who truly demonstrated it with each performance.

Best wishes and farewell to someone who made the world a better place by being a part of it.

Loved that he could play the good guy and the villian
Carbon is not the problem, it makes up 0.041% of our atmosphere , 95% of that is from Volcanos and decomposing plants and stuff. So people in the US are responsible for 13% of the carbon in the atmosphere which 95% is not from Humans, like cars and trucks and stuff and they want to spend trillions to fix it while Solar Panel plants are powered by coal plants
                      think about that

I worked as a walk on extra in the Cotton Club and sat with Mr Hoskins
during breaks and watched as he drew sketches of horses and small talk
to pass the time. He had the ability to make you feel important to the
film whether you were a star or an extra. Unfortunately, I wound up on
the cutting room floor. Another actor in this production who made you
feel important was Fred Gwynne. Looking back at the cast of characters
in Cotton Club, it's amazing as to the top names, actors and dancers.
Thanks guys for giving me these great memories.

I met him in my local pub in Sausalito, near San Francisco, in 1987. He told me he was working on a movie, which I guess was Who Framed Roger Rabbit. I only approached him because he and I have pretty much the same accent, and he was very friendly and gracious.

The Long Good Friday was one of the best films ever made. A British classic.
