Is The NBA Rigged? Ex-Referee Tim Donaghy Claims NBA Instructed Officials To Favor Nets Over Raptors

http://www.ibtimes.com/nba-rigged-ex...aptors-1575437

Toronto disrespected and "uninteresting" that much?

NBA officiating is the worst of any pro sport by far. As someone from Toronto you definitely feel like the calls go against us.

However in game 2 at the end of the game we were up by 2 or 3 I think, Paul Pierce took a 3 point shot with seconds left and it looked like pretty tight defence on him, I thought 100% they'd call a foul on the 3 to give Brooklyn a chance to win the game... And they didn't call it.

If there was ever a chance for the refs to pull a call out of their ass to favour Brooklyn it was right there, and they didn't do it.. So I dunno.

Yeah, you can find 2-3 ludicrous calls in any NBA game with the benefit of DVR. I do try to keep in mind it's an extremely difficult sport to ref, but sometimes it's so subjective it just kills the league for me.

The worst of all his how they call traveling (i.e. don't call it), don't even get me started on that....

The 2002 Lakers-Kings conference finals shows that the NBA is rigged.

How many times do they have to be caught red handed before you believe it?

Tim Donaghy is a convicted felon, specifically for betting and cheating in NBA games.

What's credibility again?

Your post could be described as ad hominem.
The fact that he placed bets and was dirty referee does not make him less knowledgeable about what happens in NBA than any other ref. One could even argue that he may know even more about bad stuff there since he was involved in shady deals..

And he may be the only one who could speak up as "good" refs would not dare speaking about that.

Most boring sport on the planet anyway.

Last five minutes of the playoff final is the only time it gets remotely interesting.

And it still takes about an hour just to get through that part.

Like any sport, the more you understand the nuances the more interesting it gets. There are strategies and subplots all over the place if you know where to look - just like futbol/soccer, American football, hockey, cricket, boxing, curling, badminton, and all the rest.
