It's always amazed me that we care so much about Europe and the Middle East but nothing about Africa. I understand why Europe and the Middle East is important, but we think we are noble and trying to do the right thing while we ignore all of Africa.

I went to Live Aid in 1985 and nothing has changed since then. It's sad.

Do some research. Slavery never has been exclusive to Africans. Almost every civilization documented through out history kept slaves. Even the ones that sacrificed captives, kept most.

There are an estimated 26 million people in Slavery at this very moment. Over 80% are women and children enslaved to work in the sex trades.

By the way, you forgot that most of the slaves brought from Africa were sold by other Africans who had captured prisoners from neighboring tribes, though often Arab's acted as the middle men.

The Turks also raided heavily up through the Ukraine, kidnapping over 2 million people during the 17th and 18th centuries alone.
