Canadians is actually some cool muh fuckas, even in the summer time. When I was stationed in Fort Drum I use to go up to Kingston, Canada to fuck around with the clubs, ladies and what not on the weekends in July. I only went in July because it seemed like it was only 2 seasons up there, winter and july. I actually had a chance to meet the canadian military one day when I was lookin for a hotel to crash, he was the coolest dude you'd ever meet. Nigga aint want no problems, just cool as polar bear shit. He wasnt worried about american guns, he was just interested in puttin me on this little secret strip club joint, where the bitches let you touch all on and in them and let you fuck. Why can't the rest of yall niggas be like him?

Canadians you need to be quiet now.
Shhhh! Shhhh! The hockey playoffs are going on now, worry about that. :D |
|
Why do you think that Canadians like yourself or Brits like Piers Morgan should have anything to say about what goes on in the U.S.?

Guns owned by citizens are the only thing that keeps us free. (-ish)
Read the coming race by Bulwer Lord Lyton. Everybody should have and carry one, the world would be more civilised. ODDLY ENOUGH!!! |

But that also doesn't have much to do with **********'s biased troll threads such as these. |
Why do we need gun control laws? People die from gun violence anyway...
Why do cars have seat belts? People die in car wrecks anyway... I still don't understand why I'm not allowed to own a fully auto rocket launcher, 2nd amendment says so. |

But seriously, it just seems to me (Our news covers lots of US events) that the gun laws are too relaxed, and that people are afraid of losing their guns, and that the Stand your Ground Law is insane... it's just a point of view from someone outside, looking in. Quote:
But seriously everyone... no need to get bent out of shape over this. Let me ask a question: Sure, everyone is allowed to own a gun, and sure, everyone here on GFY will use it to target practice or in self defence only. Everyone on GFY passes a background check, etc etc. Everyone is a law abiding citizen and you deserve to own a gun if you want one. CHECK. So now then, why not pass a law, to keep guns out of the hands of criminals? Of crazy people? Why not make it illegal to carry a gun into a school? Or a bar? Do you not think that this is going too far? |

Some kid shoots up a school and kills 20 and everyone freaks the fuck out but 1000 died today from something else and who gives a flying fuck because most were old or you didn't see just how bad it really was on TV after dieing for 5 years from cancer and the bi-weekly chemo treatments that make them so sick week after week that cost over a million dollars to extend the last few years of their life when they cannot really do much except watch tv anyway. ok i'm done bitching and I don't even own a gun |

I don't really get bent out of shape about gun control either way, but one funny thing I've noticed...
When you start talking to real pro-gun folks about why their right to own assault rifles & whatnot is so important, 99% of the time it comes out that they have this juvenile fantasy of being the last bastion of Freedom & Liberty for this hazy future time when the big bad gubmint truly decides to take over. They really feel it's a plausible scenario that they and other gun owners will band together into like an effective resistance force to protect fellow citizens from the Feds or the US Army or the One World Government i.e. UN. It's just a fairyland left over from playing cowboys & indians at age 8, what cracks me up is that these grown men take it dead serious and have no idea how childish they sound. |

Mark, lets pretend for a moment that you attend a high school basketball game. At some point in the game, some dudes bust through the door and open fire. One of them approaches your area, grabs you or your wife/friend/kid, and sticks a gun to their head.... Would you rather: 1: Offer him a swig of your Molson Ice 2: Explain to him that you don't believe in guns 3: Throw your beer at him 4: Pull out your own gun and have a fighting chance to defend yourself and your loved ones? |

Yes, lets be afraid of all the sane people who have passed Federal background checks for the specific purpose of owning and legally carrying firearms. :thumbsup |

and yeah, shitty eating kills way more people but that is more of a personal choice. i can't get killed by someone else's big mac. they're just killing themselves. people driving is the real killers of other people more than anything else. no one wants to go out because of someone shitty driving or someone snapping and killing a bunch of innocent people. |

I don't fear my government - I don't agree with them on most policies, but I have never ever been scared of them..... That's interesting... |

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and guess that you're suggesting they are from the U.S. I won't argue that as I honestly don't know. However, if that is the case then it only goes to show that your own "gun control" laws don't seem to work well either. Here's some fun reading for you Canadian folks: http://www.cdnshootingsports.org/tenmyths.html |

BTW Eddy,
I'm not sure what or if they teach anything in UK history classes but over here the story is that, as our country was forming, our ancestors took up arms to protect themselves from YOUR Government. One could argue that the British are responsible for the creation of our Second Amendment. You should not be expected to understand or agree with it. You're the enemy. :winkwink: |

Ya they make getting handguns and other restricted guns in Canada such a horrible process that almost no one bothers to go through the hassle. If I were to go through the process of acquiring a handgun I still wouldn't be able to legally fire it on my own farm land....I have to go to a gun club. Oddly enough the criminals dont seem to have a problem using them outside of the gun club. Lol
