The seemingly logical conclusion is that the first car hides the ghost car as it enters the intersection on red. Then the ghost car slips between the two cars.
HOWEVER after the first car gets out of the way (and we can see the stopped oncoming traffic again) there is a period of time where the ghost car should have appeared sooner given its speed.Comment

Either it's fake or the car maneuvered in such a way that concealed it's position until the last moment and happened to do so in a manner that made it appear to come from a direction which it obviously didn't. It's your Brian that makes the leap to an unrealistic comclusion. You don't see with your eyes... you see with your brain. Your eyes simply relay reflect light to your brains visual system.... Your Brian constructs what it needs to, not what is "out there"... and the brain relies on countless shortcuts, fills in the gaps, makes assumptions, ads motion where there is none et cetc etc , which is why the visual system is easily tricked (magic tricks/illusions)

I think I have this figured out. Oncoming traffic is actually not involved.
The BMW at the start of the video is not first in line as it would appear. Ghost car is in front of the BMW (making camera car third in line).
The light changes, car to the right accelerates faster and ghost car changes lanes to the right out of camera view. Then ghost car (who is already confused) decides they are going the wrong way and they do a hard left turn and floor it, cutting off the BMW.Comment
