WTF does the US Government have against cattle ranchers?

I'm not defending anything. I'm saying that you should look at what this guy, (who is just a cattle rancher, not some practiced TV personality), actually said as a whole, in context. Not in some cleverly edited version designed to make the poor schmuck look as bad as they possibly could in order to serve some political agenda.

But that's exactly what the Right's done, building him into some kind of hero - overlooking his contradictions and dishonesty and overall ignorance - in order "to serve some political agenda". Turnabout's fair play.I'm not defending anything. I could care less about this really, but it cracks me up to watch the politicians who were all about this dude now painfully try to distance themselves as the myth they built comes crashing down to reality. It's Joe the Plumber (or Sarah Palin even) all over again.*********

That's giving Bundy too much credit I think... from what it looks like to me, he's just a crazy, single person. Palin and Joe the Plumber are smarter than this guy I think, but like Palin & Joe, Bundy's cause has been built up to crazy heights thanks to Fox News.Comment

I would see these little government houses, and in front of that government house the door was usually open and the older people and the kids -- and there's always at least a half a dozen people sitting on the porch. They didn?t have nothing to do. They didn?t have nothing for their kids to do. They didn?t have nothing for their young girls to do.
And because they were basically on government subsidy -- so now what do they do? They abort their young children, they put their young men in jail, because they never, they never learned how to pick cotton. And I?ve often wondered are they were better off as slaves, picking cotton and having a family life and doing things? Or are they better off under government subsidy?

So you're ok with a bunch of armed federal agents violating the constitution the way they did by limiting where they can protest? But that's exactly what the Right's done, building him into some kind of hero - overlooking his contradictions and dishonesty and overall ignorance - in order "to serve some political agenda". I guess your ignorance is bliss!
We don't know everything as to why Bundy did what he did, but the governments response was wrong and that's why they backed off and gave back his cattle.
They're making him a hero for not backing down to the federal government when they violate the constitution.Carbon is not the problem, it makes up 0.041% of our atmosphere , 95% of that is from Volcanos and decomposing plants and stuff. So people in the US are responsible for 13% of the carbon in the atmosphere which 95% is not from Humans, like cars and trucks and stuff and they want to spend trillions to fix it while Solar Panel plants are powered by coal plants
think about thatComment
