Round 3 is shaping up nicely.
Anaheim up 3-2 on the Kings. Chicago up 3-2 over the Wild. (amazing that Minnesota took two games, unexpectedly great series) And both series in the east come down to game 7. Awesome playoffs so far. |
Well... :) It'll be so interesting to watch... Anyway, I think Sharks are having nice chance to win the title. They are looking strong all season long... :)

Sharks lost bro. They are playoff Chokers. |
How much further can St. Louis carry the Rangers seeing how at his age he is getting smaller and smaller and he was already pretty short to begin with...
Will Zuccarello be cast as the Tasmanian Devil in the live action feature? Can Crosby come out of his amnesia and remember how to score? These are the questions on my mind as I start my prayers beseeching the Hockey Gods for the Rangers to lose. |

Pens' fate that is. :D St Louis is like a pitbull. Small but tough, and shifty. We have a younger tough shifty version on the Jets in Jacob Trouba, but if we had a guy like Marty we'd be a lot further ahead. Wouldn't mind a guy like Malkin on the Jets either. In fact if they lose some of those superstars on Pittsburgh may very well go up on the chopping block. *salivates* |
Well adios Penguins.
Hell of a game though. |

In other news the Blackhawks and the Wild are going to OT according to the live feed I'm tracking on TSN.ca. Tied 1-1. What a game that must be. |
Kane scored in OT to put the Wild out of their misery I see. They gave Chicago a hell of a good run for their money though.
Must have been a hell of a game 7, wish I'd seen it. No TSN available where I am right now though. |
Ducks take it tonight by scoring first and clinging on for the rest of the game, barely. Gibson remains undefeated.
Ducks - Hawks conference final, I like Anaheim's chances :thumbsup |
hawks going all the way again :)

Habs win over the mighty Bruins? Whaaaa-aa-aaa-aaat??
Montreal - NY I say habs in 7. Yes, I think it's going to go the distance. Meanwhile I hear the Kings are up 1-0 on the Ducks. Yet another game I can't access from my current location. I hope this series goes to a game 7 though. Nothing like game 7 in the playoffs. |
So yet another game 7 to close out round 2.
Will Chicago face Anaheim or the Kings in round 3? Meanwhile I see the news is rife with talk about Lucic (loo-cheech) and his threats made against a couple of the Montreal Canadians, he's apparently going to "kill" them next year. ha ha |

Thankfully the Chicago-LA series is steaming along. Although I'm not crazy about the outcome of last night's game it was still some entertaining hockey. At this point I would have to predict a Rangers-Blackhawks cup final. Unless Montreal gets their merde together. It's hard not to cheer for Marty St Louis though. The story unfolding on him through the playoffs has been crazy, and amazing. |
Christ that was close. OT win for the Habs, but game 4 is a must win as well or they go back to Montreal down 3 games to 1.
Some good scraps brewing though between these two teams. Gallagher needs to do a little more shit-disturbing and we may have an actual series here. :D |
Kings! Apparently, as long as we do game 7 in any series, we'll win it. Makes for some exciting games. Would love to see a LA/NY face off!
|
Glad the Bruins were put out to the green, green pastures of the golf course. Habs keep surprising me; they play with a lot of heart but might be on the verge of a heart attack. Kings are definitely up to knocking out Chicago, but at this point just hoping for a Original Six match up.

I love how NOBODY mentioned the kings on page 1....NOBODY (minus OP)!!!!
Respect Los Angeles, the birthplace of hockey!!!!! (I'll double check that on wikipedia ;) ). NHL is not my first love, but NO sport has me on the edge of my seat the way a good hockey game does! We hit it for the Ducks series....Anyone want to see CHI when the series hits LA? PM me and we can get a group going..... https://scontent-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hpho...44708606_n.jpg |

St Louis is the best thing that ever happened to the Rangers. As for the other series, last two games just when it looked like the hawks had things sewn up the Kings start up their scoring machine and take both games. Speaking of 'waking up', Chicago better do some of that real quick (get it? Real Quick? ha) or they're going to be teeing off REAL QUICK. Remember --- neither the Sharks nor the Ducks wanted to face the Kings in round 1. There's a reason for that. |

But like I said earlier, he needs to step it up even further and start causing more havoc, especially around the Rangers' crease area, or they're going to go down in flames, possibly in front of their own fans. And that won't be good for anybody, but especially those who own businesses or like to park their cars on St. Catherine's ave. :D |
Damn, the first NHL finals I've ever watched were NY Rangers vs. Canucks in 1994
Twenty years later it looks like the Rangers may make the finals again, would be an amazing series against LA. |
If kings make it to the cup finals, I'm down to check out a game
|
Chicago on the brink, Montreal on the brink.
It's ELIMINATION GAME time. Will it be a Rangers - Kings finale? |

So, habs win 7-4 to take game 5. Pretty good game last night, but for a while there it looked like they were going to choke and lose it.
Will they be able to win one more in NY and force a game 7? And tonight for the first time in these playoffs Chicago faces elimination. This should be a good game. |

I thought they were going to put Lundqvist back in for the 3rd period since it was so close |

Ill tell you this who ever wins game 6 will win both series.

Don Cherry Predicts:
"LA Kings will win at home in game 6 and eliminate the Blackhawks" Don has a very high success rate with his preditions, he predicted only a few years after *I* did that the Jets would return to Winnipeg. But in this instance I hope he's wrong. |
Rangers...
Still hard to accept. Going to have to eat so much fucking crow served up by some of my beer league brethren... Someone pass the salt in Martin St. Louis' beard... |
