    Florida?s St. Lucie County School Board officially fired veteran teacher Dru Dehart after their investigation found that she encouraged six 8th grade students to beat up 7th grader Radravious Williams, WPTV NewsChannel 5 reports.

                                          Thread title is a bit misleading - she didn't "order a hit" but instead encouraged some school boys to rough him. Big difference.

                                          I remember from when I was a kid teachers used to be mature adults with no issues. We knew little about their personal lives outside of school. I remember years ago when I got married one of our friends got a job as a teacher, and she was so unstable it wasn't funny.

                                                      "Hit" is a strong term for a title and I am certain it was used for the stock value.

                                                      The image of an "Old White Cracker" teacher and a young "African American" male is also used to be both shocking and inflammatory, but we have come to expect that from various posters and publications.

                                                      20 some odd years ago, when enrolling my son in elementary school after relocating to Florida, we were asked as parents to sign a permission slip to allow school faculty to administer corporal punishment to our son. I guess they do not do that any more but it is obvious that some school staffers understand that in some cases standard punishments do not apply.

                                                      You have to wonder, if in several years, there will be another case involving this unfortunate victim of school hazing in a murder, drug, or robbery investigation.
