Over 50% of Ukrainian people use a Russian language as native and nationalists like MrDeiz decide to phoibit their language. Also people want to elect their governors itself. This is two real claims of the people on the Ukrainian east:
1) Federalization.
2) Russian language as a second state language.
About Crimean "fake" election: I know the real story of one Crimean settlement: around 800 residents have election rights and only 16 vote to stay in the Ukrainian state. This is simply because they are all (100%) are russians or russian speaking and all 23 years of Ukrainian independence they language was suppressed by official Kiev government. Crimean election is a result of this language suppression.
