Wow, Second Market just opened their exchange. This is i believe the first fully registered and legal US exchange. Pretty awesome.

Plan on doing that until one of two things happen.
1. It crashes and is not worth anything or the time to bother with it.
2. I have no place to put the money I am making from doing this.

Buy when it goes down is good unless it goes down even further :D For example it was going up and down between 600-800$ a few weeks ago, so I bought (a little amount) at $600, then the fucker went down to $350 and it still hasn't reached backup $600 :)

Dollar cost averaging works for me. I bought at 900 and then all the way down. I don't stop buying that way I always buy at the bottom. The trouble is I'm buying at the top sometimes too. You just have to average it out.

I would sell now and wait.

works for you how? in that example you have lost money. If its averaging down why wouldn't you wait until it starts trending up again instead?

BTC has always been a waiting game for me. I bought at $60/BTC over a year ago and sold after the crash from ~$260 at about $120/BTC. I doubled my investment, but sold it right as it decided to break $1,000/BTC.

As of now, I ignore it. No amount is worth the lost sleep I got continually monitoring BTC prices.

Because of your secret source?

All in all it is funny how people say "it will be at $50 at X date", "It will be at $3500 at X date", "it will be at $Y at X date". As if they actually have something to base their claims on. Not talking about those guessing, but some actually claim in a serious tone :)

Exactly. Not a single person on this planet knows where it will be a week from now, let alone a few months from now.

You just buy. If you think you can beat the market, then go for it. There are plenty that try. I just buy and let it shake itself out. Besides, it's the other cryptocurrencies that no one talks about on this forum that are traded. That's where the money is. If you know where to look. Two days ago I bought 6000 of a certain coin for one BTC, yesterday the price doubled and I sold half to recoup my investment. My dollar cost averaging for my bitcoin holding worked extremely good in my favor.
