We used to play on some sites like Voyeurweb for a while, then we decided to open a site for my wife, Alysha. We registered NaughtyAlysha.com on September 22, 1999, and I built my first (rather rough looking) site. We opened the site in November, and started getting sales right away.
We only charged $6.95 a month back then, and it wasn't until mid-2000 (about 6 months later) that we increased our monthly fee, and that's when the memberships skyrocketed. (Who would have thought back then... charge more money and you get more members?)
A couple screen shots from CCBill... our first sales, and our oldest still-recurring member... from May, 2000 - almost 14 years!!!

1997 here, started as free site builder/designer, who found a niche with fucked up niches back when yahoo had categories for them...spent a couple years at hahahahahahaha, after the change from CONDOM Project, worked on the Chronicles as a writer, then assistant editor, then editor, then founded the media department and launched the first online radio station to compete with Sharky and Dokk's show, also co-launched the first goth/alt porn sponsor (I don't think Amelia and Forrest had spookycash back then)...all that before 2000...Comment

Started in 1999/2000 when I was 16. Started with PPC and was so proud when I got my first $50 check, showed it to family and friends and I got laughed at and told "This internet thing will never last"
Six months later I was an affiliate promoting paysites and making considerably more than anyone I knew. I learnt very quickly to STFU about my incomeComment

I've been in the industry since sometime in 1998. I started out as one of the main reviewers for JJJ TGP. If you had a gallery posted on it back then, chances are I am the one that approved it. I also probably rejected a bunch of you but don't yell at me because you know what you did.
