So again, if any of this was true... and their "outrage" was really that they caught a foreign mercenary there, the first obvious step would be to take his mask off... stand him up, question him and then show that video. Of course... that very obvious thing never happened and instead, people are left to speculate with little to zero evidence.

i've seen enough Russian propaganda in my life to know that nothing out of that region can be trusted or believed. All you can look at are the known facts. Guy being held down... everyone pretending to be upset saying nothing more than fuck you over and over again. Guy says "i'm a US citizen" and thats all... in spite of the obvious propaganda value of actually having caught a foreign mercenary there and the obvious first step of identifying him, interrogating him and putting a video out where it can be confirmed by all. Its not hard to teach anyone a few words and most people speak that much anyway. The guy didn't exactly sound like he had a Texan accent. It sounded like he had a foreign accent.

As it is, not a very convincing story.

No more convincing than any of the bullshit that Moscow was putting out when they started the second war with Chechnya. Not that I don't agree that Chechnya should be wiped off the map.... but they were so amateur with their contrived and fake news stories, it was painful to watch.

TheSquealer 04-10-2014 10:11 AM

It should also be pointed out that if it was a video where he said "i'm a Russian citizen" caught in Kharkov and it was being explained that he was Alpha Group or something else... you'd be arguing to the death that it was a lie.

Uhmm... since it's not related at all to the other video or the discussion... why does it matter why a local is speaking broken English.

1) Of course not. Every Ukrainian speaks Russian, but not English.
2) Why Ukrainian people will call a medic using a language, most of them do not understand?

Just imagine yourself in such a situation. One of your friends got wounded and you are gonna call a medic (everything is happening in your country and nowhere else). Would you scream "Rifa'yyah!"? Please answer to this question.

depends on what language the medic spoke?

a police officer having a rudimentary grasp of english isn't very surprising.

furthermore, this seems a little staged

The one must be an idiot if he believes that Somalian, US or Chinese propaganda is somehow better than the Russian one. How old are you? :)

So you think it's ok if the medic on Canadian barricades speaks Somalian? But even is medic is an American, why he says "he's fuckin' winded!" also in English? Should I conclude that all that famous Maydan shooting video was staged too? What's your opinion?

You are comparing Russian, Chinese and Somalian news sources, censorship, propaganda and direct government influence over the media to Western media and asking "how old" i am?

I guess the defining difference is that i've been around the world and seen a great deal more than you have. I can make a lot of comparisons between nations that you cannot.

I thought you live there and assumed you know that Somalian is not an official language there. However, I still wasting for your answer. So, once again: even if medic is an American, why he says "he's fuckin' winded!" in English? Should I conclude that all that famous Maydan shooting video was staged too? What's your opinion?

He was trying to say he's wounded. Not winded. and his exact words were that it sounded like he said in Russian,, look look.. then he said in English "he's wounded fuck" and he was clearly a Russian speaker.

i don't want to watch that again, he is saying 'he is one dead fuck', with a thick accent.

Perhaps he is speaking english because these videos had the most value to western/english speaking world?

Nice piece of the shitty US propaganda, isn't it?

How he would know that video will have "the most value in western/english speaking world"? Is it possible to speak foreign language "for a better screen" in such a dramatic situation? Course if it's not a staged one...

how did someone in the middle of a widely televised protest, with people getting shot all around him, know it would be 'of value to the western world'?

really..

sorry, what i did there was a sarcastic over view of the question, using a logic breakdown to show how you answer your own question, by asking it.

I lived over 10 years in Russia. I lived in Moscow. St Pete and in the far east. I've been all over Russia from Magadan and Kamchatka to Vyborg. In Moscow I lived in Krilatskaya, I lived on Povarskaya (behind the high court on Novy Arbat) and briefly near 3 Stations on Verkhny Krasnoselskaya. And i'm fluent in Russian.

You've only see a tiny fraction of your own country that I have... and thats not even getting into all the other international travel i've done.

I'm sorry... where did you "visit" again? You visited "my country"?
Congrats.

Other people here know who I am and that it's true - Sly, mutt and a few others. Of course you could have just asked instead of looking like fools. I began working in Russia as a consultant for Dalmoreprodukt (ironically owned by a Ukrainian) and from there moved to Vladivostok and started several businesses, later moving to Moscow and then to St Pete, maintaining multiple residences in all 3 cities and eventually employing hundreds of people.

Again, I've seen 'more of your own country than you would see in 10 lifetimes.. I'm sure that stings a little. From every shot coastal town on the pacific side from northern chukhotka to Vladivostok to the the Finnish border with everything in between

Then there's Richard. The useless employee that has enough free time to post stupid quips on a forum all day long. Obviously sextronix keeps him for a quota to show they have developmentally disabled employees for the good PR.

what investors? Most of the US government borrowing over the last few years has been directly from the FED. US government selling bonds to the FED. They simply prints money and hands it over to the government.
