question for solo girls shooters / networks

hey guys this is out for the solo girl site networks and shooters

im looking for feedback how to structure sologirl site between a model and a producer so that it works for everybody but my main concern is that I don't lose out totally and waste time and money if a girl disappears.

Don't do % of revenue deals with the girls. Just pay 'em, and be done with your obligations to them. I have never ever been successful when working as a partner to a model.

Yes I agree! I have now done both and it really works out best to pay them for the content and then if they hang around that's great because you can continue to get them in front of the camera until they finally disappear...which they will. Get what you need quickly.

I have found that another problem with trying a % partnership kind of deal is that it may actually drive them away. What I mean is, it usually takes a bit of time to get your/her site up to speed and these girls are often impatient for the money and fame so if you can't pay right away they lose interest and disappear.

Just from my experience.

Small Cash infusion where you shoot an ass ton of content and then she gets a % as long as she continues to show for shoots.

Hey if she really wants a % it may be worth a try. Yes, make it a contract as such where as long as she is showing up for shoots and contributing to her site then she keeps getting a %. If she stops you should have an exit plan then too. Either state clearly that if she bails all the content and profits belong to you or give her a small amount to basically buy her percent. Just make sure everything is clear.

Also another thing to think about is she gets how much of a percentage and of what. Gross sales, Net sales after paying out affiliates and promoters? What about the money you have to pay for hosting, domains other expenses you may have to keep the site up and running? At what point do you say "ok, we have brought in X amount of money. Here's your cut."
Will she want to know about all of your finances and expenses as well as see what sales and from where that you have had to make sure you are telling her the truth about the amount of money you have made on her site? It can get pretty complicated.

Why not give her a monthly income with bonuses when you hit certain membership marks.

Thanks for saying all this because it saves me the time! LOL Absolutely the best advice. But sometimes when you're starting out and need content you have to do % deals. But the problems you and others listed are real.

Also, if she wants a % and is willing to Tweet or Blog about her site, have her signup as an affiliate of her own site, explaining that now, instead of 50% or 25% (if it's an affiliate sale) now SHE will get the most money. Now she will get 75%. It's an incentive to get them involved. It works out to be fair all the way around, since the 25% you wold make off her sale is 'free money' to you (or the cost of hosting/transactions/support etc).

But keep all the rebills. LOL Kidding. Good luck!

We have worked hard to figure out a model, and taken feedback from many producers and models for www.ModelCentro.com

We also make launching the model site easy as pie, if you have content you can launch it within 24 hrs.

Please reach out and we can explain how our studio program works.

Advice from 95 percent of the people on here is pointless, why? Because most of them dont have big solo sites, so their opinion is solely based on their experiences with small sites.

The best way to split it depends on the success of the website and what you are confident in the site making, i dont know why anyone would answer differently.

If you do a partnership, you need it to be big enough to give her a split that keeps her happy and around. Most models are only happy with enough to get by without having to work a real job. Or close to that

Saying 25 percent and then you end up making less, 25 percent of 1000 isn't much, though 25 percent of 5000 is alot better. see what im saying? it all comes down to what the site earns. you should be able to predict this, if you cannot, then i predict you have not done enough research.

If you predict smaller than the amount that allows her to do this full time, pay her outright, she'll be happy because she sees her money quickly (even if its less) and you aren't going anywhere so you can take your time profiting on it.

If she'll be around for years, a partnership would work better. (most are not, you better be damn sure shes in that very tiny percent)

And Standaman, if you were looking for information on such a topic, how come the top people in that market were not contacted? (i know the couple others and we talk daily so im sure they would have said, standaman hit me up today so im confident you didn't hit them up either). Seems you would only get information from one side, the least successful side too.

If you ever want to talk about that side of your business, hit me up

Oh and i feel like i must include, this niche is alot tougher than what most might think, im 99 percent sure that you would fair better partnering with one of the remaining successful programs and getting a smaller percent of alot more income. Thats my two cents anyway and i dont think most would disagree

I have a few models now on 50/50. I prefer to pay $$ than %, but it's not always possible.
Some performers won't work the other way.

How much does a "big" solo site make in total revenue a year? Upwards of 100K? Not too many model sites make that and up, do they?

Net or gross? When did they launch? This year? Probably not netting 100k then. Gross, for sure.

Ones that launched 1 1/2 - 2 years ago, very close to 100k

I'd say "net" for an average big model is 65-75k/year (this year). Not including cam revenues/extra zips, etc

The great thing about solo is its a business model that can be duplicated over and over and over. If you were to do that with a hardcore business model, you'd end up having the same exact style and same models over and over which would drop your overall productivity across your network.

Im actually quite shocked that more big studios don't base sites around individual models, between them having a massive fanbase, them branding themselves at a time when the market was bigger, them doing hardcore, a site dedicated to an individual successful model would make close to alot of their medium sized projects, but would cost pennies in comparison as its based around one model and can be shot in any way since theyre usually just a fan of her.

Everytime another company uses them, they'll be searching up that model and going to her site.

For example, Riley Reid, that girls site could net no less than 125k a year (double that if somebody launched it years ago), wouldnt cost much to make which makes for a huge profit margin, the memberbase also sticks around for much longer when the site stops updating (compared to a multi girl hardcore site). 125k a year profit is more than alot of projects that launch in 2014. And it wouldn't cost much at all to produce. Prices for content drops alot when you give them a ton of continuous work because they get to see the money quickly.

Every big pornstar should have a site thats updating. Sorry for using your thread but I saw Riley Reid on MFC yesterday, webcamming for hours for not even all that much in tips. Made me think of it
