GFY user IGuess - Fucking ingrate and asshole

I woke up bitchy this morning and am nursing a migraine so I apologize in advance if I go off the deep end a bit here.

One of my pet peeves are all the ingrates out there. The ones who can't say thank you or admit their mistakes. The one's who react defensively to any and all comments or questions.

Over in the webmaster q&a a guy named "iguess" has a thread asking about how much a site would cost to build.

    http://gfy.com/showthread.php?t=1136246

Just give me a ball park figure a number??I don't need to hear this and that. I know I got to write this & that.. I just want to know how much a site like cityvibe.com eroads.com & eros.com will cost me PRICE wise minus the graphic design work, content writing..

Price as far as programming for classified / directory script? just ball park..

I saw that ad when it went up and I had visited the sites he referenced.

At cityvibe.com there is an escort/classified site. At eros.com there is an escort/classified site. BUT when I went to eroads.com I ended up redirected to http://www.eroadinfo.com/ which is a wordpress site about "Pavement and Asset Management Solutions".

I didn't think the eroads site was right but I kind of went past the thread at that point.

A few days later, I noticed the thread again and saw that someone was discussing how to make eroads.com and that it was just wordpress etc. Their was several back and forths about that.

I went back through the sites and eroads.com was definitely going to a wordpress site but was definitely NOT going to an escort site. So, I decided to ask about it.

cityvibe.com goes to a classified ads/escort type site
eros.com goes to an escort listing site

BUT eroads.com redirects to http://www.eroadinfo.com/ which is titled as an "GIS Integrated Pavement and Asset Management Solution" ?

Is that the right url? Because for some reason that one does not seem to fit in with the rest.

    .
So, does "iguess" come back and tell me a different url? Does he confirm for me that I am looking at the right site (the one that he listed several times)) ? Nope, so what does he do?

He comes at me for being negative. WTF?

No thank you for pointing out he might have the wrong url. No giving me a new url to look at although he does admit he has the wrong site (kind of).

Nope, let's just blame the guy trying to help because somewhere in there the asshole sees "negativity" because I dared to ask a question that might actually help me answer his question.

I am thinking at this point that he meant erosads.com but it took me a bit of thinking and research (like confirming what erosads.com was) to figure it out. But I am being negative when I ask about the url and try to stop the guy from getting bad info because the people looking at the sites are looking at the wrong one. Yep, I'm the fucking bad guy here because I am not making assumptions, aren't I?

So, fuck you "iguess", and fuck you all you people who get defensive and see criticism in every comment someone makes to you or every question someone asks of you.

It is a very poor communicator that blames the receiver when the message is mangled.

What I find amazing is how a blowup can occur between people over the least little thing or virutally nothing. Case in point:

I was at home one day awaiting a delivery of some building matterials. The driver phoned and said he was a minute away. I went outside to the back lane, my phone at my ear guiding the guy so he knows which driveway is mine. At that same moment some other guy was parking his car (illegally) in my nieghbor's driveway and he saw me out there looking his way while talking on my phone. He must have thought I was blowing the whistle on him or something because all of a sudden he's coming towards me yelling about parking and "I'm only going to be about 20 minutes" and "why don't you mind your own f--ing business" etc.

I put my phone down and look at him like he's out of my tree or something and I ask him what he's talking about, and that I'm expecting a delivery. The guy, getting closer to me, hears nothing of what I just said and steps on my property. He keeps coming, all the while accusing me of sticking my nose where it doesn't belong or something and before I know it he takes a swing and a miss and I have him on the ground face down in an arm pin until he's calm enough to fucking LISTEN to what I'm saying.

It ended up I let him up and he went about his day and I went about mine. He apologized and said his wife or someone close to him was in the hospital and he thought I was out there ratting him out for parking illegally.

Misunderstanding. Over the most insignificant thing. Like some of these board blowups.

Are they worth it? That is the question. Never hard of 'iguess' btw.

People are assholes. All of us - including you and me.

A great example of this was my wife. My wife has been the director of a local youth charity here in town for the past six years, running everything. The parents involved kill her with their silly complaints and last minute demands. Our kid is moving into a similar group at the high school level where my wife is no longer in charge, and suddenly... She became the parent. Paperwork had to be filled out by all of our kid's teachers, and my wife blew it off until last minute - then on the final day went flying into our kid's school "demanding" that all of the paperwork be filled out and returned to us in less than six hours. For five or six years she complained about the parents and how they waited until last minute and then had unreasonable demands, and then the moment she was no longer in charge... She did exactly that.

We are all bad drivers too. I do it all the time "Oh shit, sorry, I didn't mean to cut you off " or "yeah, he's got brakes".

I don't get this either. If you yell at someone over something trivial, something is wrong with you. Someone hits your parked car, yeah, you can yell. But someone blocking your driveway is nothing something you should be pissy about. Happens all the time here.
