Paid Listings on TGP's

Okay, I'm going to be putting up a few TGP's with some bought content to advertise appropriate affiliates (i'm a fucking rocket scientist, i know)..

I'm looking at Thehun, Sublime Directory, and a few other of the Top 15's.. My question is directed to anyone who has purchased one of these spots; Are they worth it?

Are the traffic and conversions there? Or do you get alot of unqualified clickthroughs for people just looking for free porn to waste your bandwidth.

I cant wait for the flames to start, but hopefully i'll get some real answers in there too

Ok i have no clue, lol

BUT if i had to take a guess, its all about the numbers. TGP Traffic in general is worthless and is a waste of bandwidth, however sending oodles and odles of it may turn into a sale here and there.

If your going to make money with this idea, it will not happen unless you get countless numbers of hits, and your looking in the right direction.

Personally id spend my cash more wisely though. Spend $200 and have a kick ass site made, tell the designer what sponsor you want to promote so he can work around it.

P.S if you do this idea, be sure to have joined a TON of new trades before the hits come, so afterwords the hits may bring you new hits and possibly real surfurs.

Good luck though

dude, obviously it's worth it, or else people wouldn't do it.

the key is to use unseen/new content. if you purchased content, how many people do you think have seen that content?

can you design your way out a paper bag? do you know anything about making galleries? if you want your galleries to convert, you need to know how to make good galleries. scratch that. GREAT, JAW-DROPPING galleries.

Try to get the gallery listed in a 100k TGP or buy a spot there before spending a few hundreds / thousands advertising the gallery in big tgps.

You'll see if the gallery is good and get a good click thru ratio and signups.

my god.. all helpful answers from GFY! My jaw has dropped

Can anyone recommend some good 100k TGP's to try out?

I'm going to outsource the gallery design, but do the submissions myself, so I'm trying to put together a good list of top TGP's to hand submit to in conjunction with the paid listings.

don't waste your time with TGP, you don't need to give away any free content on YOUR site to make big bucks. IMHO. The only exception I think is if you market a sponsor links site with a smorgasbord to choose from off the TGP, then statistically you have a large enough selection to get some signup somewhere...

Don't let TGP stats fool ya, most use a trade script that sends people to another TGP a few clicks later on a gallery description soon after they get there.
They might have 100,000 Uniques a day but if even you're listed in the top 10 most are gone before they get to your gallery...
I get over 500 hits on a TGP that only has 3,500 Uniques a day but they're a clean TGP with no script traffic..
And I get less than 100 from a TGP that gets 250,000 Uniques a day so beware....

Tgp traffic is easy to get, and can be converted. however if you are buying a spot, you had better know what the fuck you are doing otherwise you will be waving goodbye to a few hundred dollars.

I would try submitting for a while and learning more about TGPs before buying spots.

I have a suggestion for your TGP Template Site.. I would include the number of times a particular template has been purchased, so we (the buyer) can see the saturation to determine if the price is fair.

You have some nice templates up there.
