Do sites built for AdSense still make money?

We're looking at the possibility of building out a few large-ish sites on a range of topics specifically to make money from our AdSense publisher account, do these types of site still make money or is it a relatively hit or miss experience these days?

Any of you guys build AdSense sites, if so how well do they do for? Any tips you would care to share?

Not like the old days. Will ya make money=yes Will it last probably only a matter of time before ya get a quality notice from them. Personally think ya would be better with 1 more advanced site then 20 thin sites with just a few articles made strictly for adsense. Quality over quantity for lasting gains. Google has gotten smarter.

Adsense bans for very little things. It's not worth it. Fuck them. I had adsense on a large forum. Some dude made a thread with adult keywords which I didn't know about and ended up loosing my account over it.

It's fucked up because websites like YouTube also use adsense and there is a shit load of adult content on those sites but they get to keep the accounts.

            They're hypocrite fucks.

The adsense rules say you cannot have an ad on a blank page, or a page with little content. For example just image pages cannot have ads on them.

            Now if you visit forbes.com

They have a 10 word quote or so and a giant ad in the page. If I were to do this on my website i'd get banned. However since forbes is a large website adsense turns a blind eye.

            Fuck them.

PlugRush, hurry up and finish http://trafficrush.com/ so we can put an end to adsense.

Curious on seeing this as well as I have quite a few projects that could use mainstream traffic.

It does not seem that you are talking about MFA sites. It seems like you are talking about normal sites that will have adsense on them. Yes, adsense is still paying per click ž that works.

All depends on your traffic, I have a couple of sites getting ready to use it
Carbon is not the problem, it makes up 0.041% of our atmosphere , 95% of that is from Volcanos and decomposing plants and stuff. So people in the US are responsible for 13% of the carbon in the atmosphere which 95% is not from Humans, like cars and trucks and stuff and they want to spend trillions to fix it while Solar Panel plants are powered by coal plants
                      think about that

We're looking at a few different options and yes, we agree we need to diversify the ad publisher in use, just in the past few days since researching this I have seen many horror stories like have been mentioned above.

These would be totally new sites so returns wouldn't happen for a good month or two, right now we're playing with a couple of layout options and topics, 2 high cpc topics and 3 or 4 lower cpc topics.

Yes, we're looking into trying to build 2 'authority' type sites with a lot of unique, custom text content on them and a few smaller ones that aren't as large or extensive for a specific set of keywords.

Again - this have nothing to do with MFA and your title.
What your title would suggest is that you would speak about spam/low quality sites with huge bounce rate and short on site time.
You are talking about normal, serious sites. So why would not it work? It wil works just as well as any other advertising service.
