English Lesson

is it necessary to use the word "The" when you mention something like
"Let's welcome Allan from the US"
"Let's welcome Elena from the Philippines"
"Let's welcome Megan from the UK"

And why can't/don't we use "the" for other countries?
"Let's welcome Mandy from the China"
"Let's welcome Amy from the Norway"

Is it because of how the sentence sound?
I hope you know what I am trying to explain...

Good question, and here's why:

United States, Philippines, and United Kingdom are all Plural, meaning many entities.

United States = 50 states.
Philippines = A few land masses.
United Kingdom = A few countries.

China and Norway are singular entities.

I'm funner than AIDS, and easier to explain to your parents.

Because USA = the United States Of America. The UK = the United Kingdom. As about China, Norway etc - these are just simple names (like John, Bill or Ivan). The articles can not be applied to them. That's very simple IMHO

Because it's not a name. We are both know that Ukraine (Окраина) means. E.g. the articles can not be applied to Belorussia, Malorossia or Russia, but they must be to the USSR or the Ukraine because those are not names

spot on. drop the 'the' when using single entities, eg

England
