    hit by several ssh/ftp brutforce attacks on different networks, ips
    all day long..guess some chinese kids on meth

      SSH/FTP bruteforce is normal thing same as is normal to breath air,nothing unusual in that.I'v seen many time freshly deployed servers being hit same day when they got online.
      They basically run programs which scan ip ranges with common ports and u/p till they get lucky.
