    Somebody write a vbulletin mod that will allow an extra column for "thumbs up/thumbs down"

    Not that dumb karma thing that was around a couple of years ago. Don't make the post rise to the top, just give it credit - another column that people can see that will allow them to see which threads are worth visiting and which ones suck.

              Just to vote on the thread - I think the move it up and down the page would be counter productive as to what this site is attempting to achieve. Then again, fixed voting may be a great revenue stream but we already have stickies so...

              I just think the "GREAT THREAD badge of honor" would be enough to keep a quality thread or discussion at the top of the page.

                                                          I've just re-read the initial post and realized that the mod I posted about gives a thanks, like, and dislike for individual posts, not the threads themselves.

                                                          The same company does make a thread rating mod as well but it will not run on GFY's old vB software.

                                                          Unfortunately, I'm not finding one that runs on vB 3.8 and I don't see GFY upgrading to 4x or above any time soon.
