The speed of the cutting is relative to the thickness of material. In light gages it cuts over 100' a minute. At full capacity of 1/2" thick it cuts at about 6' a minute.

I grew up with a machine shop in my garage. I can run a lathe and a mill and can do just about anything with metal. I've made stuff like that, just free handed it. I'm busy setting up my garage right now and my mother wants me to make a metal wolf for her front yard. Love working with metal!
