In all seriousness, who would ever want any olympic anything in their own city ever? It costs MILLIONS if not BILLIONS more than it is ever worth, total waste of money and impositions everyone.

I am pretty sure most of it comes from country's budget, not from the city?
And you would want it to be in your city because it would become world known city that has own benefits in the long run.
