    Business GFY Statisticians... Can you enlighten me? (Gen Q - No Poo...)

    From the get go, I am NOT casting aspersions on either Hosted Tube or Chaterbate, nor am I unhappy or complaining.

    I just simply just don't understand why I am seeing what I did, and wonder if it makes sense to you?

    Succinctly as is possible - I have a domain that I had on hostedtube. I decided to move it to chaterbate as an experiment for one month. I wasn't particularly impressed and so I moved it back.

    This is the stats from hosted tube, for the month before I moved it...



    So at 2919 uniques in 30 days, that works out at about 97.3 a day. I know a lot could be bots etc, but they are still viewing vids and clicking ads, so at least some of it is real...

    Then I switch to chaterbate for a month.



    As you can see, aside from 6 hits on the day I moved (Which were from me, checking it out) I have been lucky to get more than 2 hits a day in the following 30 days. A total of 60 in the month, if you deduct my 6 from day one.

    So, I move it back to Hosted tube and that was another 30 days/ a month ago.



    Immediately, it jumps back up to 2331 uniques. Approx 70 a day.

    So my question is, when the hosted tube is just generic B/G porn and the Chaterbate W/L is generic couples, and no one has told anyone that its changed, why would all the traffic disappear during the chaterbate month?

    I know its all small pennies, and small amounts, and barely worth worrying about... But I am confused? Not complaining, just confused...

    Can anyone explain please?

      57000 uniques and 0 revenue nearly impossible if true uniques
      if not all 57000 are from afghanistan or albania

      in conclusion i would say:
      you have an army of bots, scrapers , malicious scripts frequenting your hosted tube
      leaving lots of poo inside your stats, probably chaturbate is able to filter them out better then the hostedtube solution your hosting on

          I would think that Chaterbate stats are accurate when i buy traffic they always add up but that's direct to them and not the WL. Maybe they track them different on the WL i will do a traffic test with one of mine.

              IMHO Hosted Tubes & WLs only benefit the company, not the affiliate. The very low traffic on the CB WL is due to CB having better GEO detection installed, probably. Check your own server logs to see were the traffic is coming from, that will tell you exactly what is happening. As Jimmy said above, 57k uniques and $0 income should tell you all you need to know.

              People should stop saying this. It's your traffic and work, you should be looking to get paid every single cent that you earned no matter what the amount.
