Hello all. Would like to not to take this to the boards but I have no other option.
Haven't really been doing much affiliate wise the last few months but was going to get back into it so was looking around some accounts and I saw that I referred to CitySexCash what looked like a affiliate who was sending them a decent amount of traffic and sales and I was owed a nice chunk of money.
I hadn't received any payments yet but it looks like my payment info was wrong so I emailed them to get everything corrected and the money sent out.
I finally got a response from [email protected]:
Thank you for contacting me regarding your account. We updated our payment structure not too long ago and it looks like your Payee ID did not make the transition. I apologize if you did not receive notification. Could you please take a moment to update your banking details with the following token: (Had to associate a new Payoneer account).
Please let me know when registration is complete and we will send the pending payment without delay once the account is approved (usually within a day or two)
Account 41607 has a pending balance of $1751.40 (thru 11/03/14)
But I was owed over $4,000? What was this number? I sent an email back and got an email back from Adam:
I believe there is some error on the referral.
I work with the account 49654 personally. They do not know you and their account already has a referral associated with it from another company.
How do you believe you referred them?
Me: I run it on my sig on gfy and recommended as a good dating program you on a webmaster forum where I know some whales hang out.
How would I know who clicks on a referral link and signs up under me and how would they know who I am? That's absurd.
Of course there has been no response since and when I look at my account now:
That affiliate and the money owed has been removed.
I am at a loss of what to do here? Advice?
