If you haven't done it before, you may want to consider having a cologne created specifically for you. There are many places that can do this for you. I don't know where you live, but if you visit New Orleans you can stop in at Bourbon French Perfumes, which has been around since 1843. If you do visit them, aside from having them create a custom scent just for you (which they can then incorporate into things besides cologne), you can sample some of their historical creations, like Napoleon's favorite cologne.

And if you're going for vintage (classic revival) with Hai Karate, you can always try the full 60s Sampler, which would also include at least English Leather, Canoe, Brut, Aqua Velva, British Sterling, Stetson, Jade East, Jovan Musk, and Eau Sauvage.

For classic barbershop, try using some Pinaud Clubman aftershave (circa 1810).

And of course, from 1955 there's also Chanel Pour Monsieur, which is considered by some to be the baseline masculine scent.

go down to Neiman Marcus and check the creed out, find one you like and check out the tom ford... don't buy online unless you buy from Niemen Marcus or the creed store directly... lots of counterfeit out there

I think these negative reviews are the counterfeit, I always blend the fragrances as well, I'll use aventus with a touch of tom ford tobacco vanilla on my neck

Abercrombie fierce: Every time I go out wearing this girls are always bringing up how good I smell.

I use that Whopper scented cologne and go to the Jenny Craig meetings

A*Men is kind a sweet and citrusy smelling it's not to everyone's taste it's actually more of a 'summer evening' type cologne.

My still all time favourite is Eternity by Calvin Klein but I've found that the Banana Republic Black Walnut is really, really nice on the right guy. They sell little tester bottles, so it's not a huge splurge on an unknown.

CK obsession is for old people, can not imagine somebody under 30-40 liking it. Unless they are old in the heart.
Old those colognes that smell like wood are for older folks.
Just my 2 cents, I know some will disagree.

Been wearing this for several years now and have gotten nothing but compliments on it.


And since about 90% of guys all go for the more known stuff like CK, Aramis, Drakarr etc you'll really stand out with this stuff.

You need to be careful when you use it.

I love this smell Tierry Mugler A*Men, but make sure its "A*Men"

I prefer White Patchouli :thumbsup
Other than that, I always go for the niche ones, some true gems out there :)
