    The reality of Obamcare.

    I have Humana and have had the for years. Just got my renewal. Asked my agent questions who was evasive and went online and found a better policy FROM HUMANA and it was more than $100 a month CHEAPER and if I maxed out my coverage in a year, it was more than $1,000 better coverage!

    So let's see. More than $1,200 a year cheaper and pays out $1,000 more all the while being the same insurance company on the same network!

                      My families rates went up almost 50% and our coverage is much worse with Office/RX/ER/Deductable etc. Obamacare can lick my fucking taint.

                          Wonder if we are comparing apples to apples. I had a platinum style plan before and that is what I am sticking with. What level of plans are you dealing with?

                                  Let me be clear, I do not qualify for any sort of subsidy and if my income bracket did I would be screaming bloody murder!

                                          Obamacare doesn't exist so that everyone will have cheaper insurance right out of the gate (although some will)

                                          ....it exists so everyone will actually have INSURANCE, which will keep people from sucking the system with unpaid hospital and emergency room visits. Which in the long game will give us all better insurance rates. Sounds like armageddon to me

                                                  I got better coverage from the same carrier (Anthem/BlueCross) at the same price I had been paying previously.
                                                  Arguing whether the Democratic or Republican party is better is like debating which steaming pile of shit is slightly less stinky.

                                                              my health ins went up $100 a month, the deductible doubled and my prescriptions cost went up 400%.. I only net low six figure , so I guess it's just random then...

                                                                      My deductible stayed the same, my max out of pocket went down $500, my $15,000 cap on emergency transportation is now removed (I travel a lot and spend lots of time in the remote mountains where air rescues start at $10,000 and up), my drug cap went from $4,000 down to $2,500 and the rate is about $1,200 a year cheaper.

                                                                          What a lot of people forget (or never knew) is that the Insurance co's are still setting the prices. But fuck that, let's blame Obama anyway. We wouldn't want to be mad at the right people for our obscenely expensive healthcare system.

                                                                              It was sold to us (from Pres. Obamas own mouth): "The average family will see a savings of $2,500 a year"

                                                                              It was also named "The AFFORDABLE Health Care Act"

                                                                              It was also sold to the public as a way to bring down health care costs that were supposedly draining the economy.

                                                                              "Yes" it was supposed to exist so that costs would go down. That was the original intent.

                                                                              And as for "everyone will actually have insurance" well...
                                                                              In 2009 when Obama first became Pres. 84% of Americans already HAD health insurance.
                                                                              Today...5 years later and with ObamaCare now the law of the land: 83.8% of Americans have health insurance.

                                                                              Meaning that over 4 years since ObamaCare was passed...we now have fewer people insured than were insured during the last year of GW Bush's term.

                                                                              But it's costing us trillions of dollars to have no results! That's always a "good" thing to the Federal Govt.

Most folks have had their rates raised AND if they ever actually do force every human being in the United States to buy insurance against their will...they will get all of that too.

                                                                                                      I have to pinch myself to know that I'm not having a silly dream and that this is still the country I was born in.
                                                                                                      I can't even imagine back in their time that my grandparents would have put up with the federal govt. telling them that they had to buy insurance just for being alive in the United States (home of the "free")
