I thought it was Marty's funniest movie by far, but it felt like a movie I had already seen before (Goodfellas minus murder plus drugs and finance). Not terrible, but I wasn't blown away.

I personally LOVED the movie and was laughing my ass off the whole time.

And as a guy who was in clubs in the late 1970's and the 1980's...I remember qualudes very well and thought the movie was awesome. :)

Trading floors are block booking cinema's for private viewings, dealers are going mad for it with themed dress evenings as well. 99.99% will probably watch and go, ahhh, but if he hadn't got caught.....

Mind you , he never paid the fine in full and seems to be doing pretty well

Great movie, very good acting.
For me the Matthew McConaughey scene at the restaurant really set the mood for the entire show. Brilliant scene.

If they took a boat from Italy to Switzerland they would never hit storms like that.

15ft waves took out a forward hatch, then it started flooding, and more stuff started smashing around and then it went down. The seaplane was in US at the time tho

You may be too picky. How many movies hollywood produces every year? Movies like departed are at the very least in top 5% best.

I've been sailing there, you really have no idea. I've seen waves I couldn't believe my eyes. The Mediterranean can be really dangerous. Check by yourself: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/8548547.stm

You're right I have no idea as I don't sail but the CGI looked excessive.

They were in Sardinia if I recall correctly.

Saw the movie last night and was entertained the entire time. It felt more like a 2 hour flick than 3 to me. :2 cents:

I gotta admit....I find it a little ironic that several people on a "porn forum" thought there were too many sex scenes.

I'll buy this movie the day it comes out and there's a good chance I'll watch it in the theater again before that.

Mr_Woodman 01-30-2014 11:13 AM

I don't think so

haven't seen it yet, but i do understand. When i watch movies i think sex scenes are uninteresting because most of the time it doesn't add to the story. For most movies it takes the pace away from the movie & story. If it's the case for this movie, dont know but i'll find out because i'll definitely be watching it soon.

Great set direction, costumes, acting, lighting etc...but HORRIBLE movie.

You guys who think it's great have high school movie IQ's.

No likable relatable characters, phony as fuck with regards to drugs and wall street - joke of a predictable script - overacted by Dicaprio...should have trusted my instincts and stayed home but idiot friends told me how "great" it was...almost walked out..wish I would have..want my 3 hours back.

Scorsese is dead to me.

webgurl 02-12-2014 09:10 AM

It's probably going to be the best movie for 2014.

Sid70 02-12-2014 09:27 AM

Fake flick filmed by the Gangster for his Youngster.

ManicaMark 02-12-2014 09:34 AM

I liked it! Yeah some bits go on a bit but remember it's a true story and the film follows the facts pretty closely. Sure it's dramatised for Hollywood but read the book and you'll see how accurate it is.
