Whats the story there? It (first vid) would have made worldwide news and I do not remember anything like that.

I believe they captured them and then sank the boats.... hence the video skipping from warning shots on an occupied boat, to sinking the boats. That's why it wasn't a big news story.

What seems to be common is that these larger boats are used a base since they have to be 100s of miles offshore and they need the small skiffs for speed, but which of course, have a very limited range and can't handle weather. I found a couple stories of military giving them food and water and fuel... loading them in the skiff with a compass and then sinking the larger boat. That makes more sense... taking prisoners is messy. Killing them outright is more messy. Leaving them with all their weapons and equipment wouldn't make sense either. Makes more sense to just sink the larger boats, destroy their weapons etc when caught in acts of piracy and let them suffer the loss.

Yep, they have captured they all and shot down one or two of them. Here is a picture from a chopper:

I read this morning that Iran sends Navy ships to the coast of Africa to fight pirates. I found that odd.

Yup, grab their gear, sink all boats except one and drop them off near land in one of the skiffs.

Yep, I've watched video just today. Longer one, with pirates arrested.
What I don't understand why would anyone feed them in jail. Just throw them in water and save money and ammo.
