It's only 8 episodes this season... next season is a totally different story, cast, etc.

I like that a lot -- keeps things fresh.

While I agree that the cast is top notch, I also like that they are changing it up each season. It allows for them to develop and tell a story then move on to something different. Kind of like reading a book.

I have a feeling McConaughey may be winning that Oscar in a few weeks. Even if he doesn't he is about to become very expensive to hire so I don't know if they would be able to get him back even if they wanted to.

If this cast is top notch.

I would believe they will have more top notch people in the new seasons also.

I've watched a couple of episodes and am far from impressed. :2 cents:

It gets better on 3 and especially 4-5th episodes. That being said - it's down to a personal taste.
For example many people praised dexter, but I was not impressed at all.

Yep...Definitely difficult to stay awake for this series.

Her crazy drawings at school. The scene where she had the dolls all fucking each other.

Some folks I've read have gone really far and suggested Woody Harrelson was molesting her or something. I don't know if I buy into that. But maybe she was exposed to some weird shit as a kid, a result of her dad's work?

Or maybe the "Yellow King" is Woody himself? :Oh crap

The yellow king might be the girls grandfather (Woody's wife dad) and to save his marriage, Woody is reluctantly covering for him.

Or maybe, it's Woody himself. When he shot Reginald LeDoux like that I though to myself that he did it to cover up his involvement. Yes, he saw those kids in there and maybe that made him do it but I don't know, I think there is more to it.

I don't want it to end. Yet at the same time its going to be interesting to see them completely change the cast each season. Downfall is each one will feel like a different show.

Some cluess I found elsewhere pointing towards Woddy:

I think it's Marty. That would be the biggest twist. There are a few reasons.1. You always get the feeling he is trying to stop cole's leads. 2. When they met ladoux, ladoux never saw Marty's face. Marty snuck up behind him then walked in the garage to make it look like he was upset so he could kill ladoux before ladoux let cole know he knew Marty. 3. I think cole was either assigned to investigate a corrupt workforce or his daughter didn't die the way he told it. Maybe she was murdered and Coles whole objective in Louisiana is to find the person who did it. That might explain why he has to distance himself from the force. I think Cole has a suspicion Marty is in on it.

Possible, but not convincing enough. I can not wait for the next episode!
