It has been mentioned, but I cant get over how much money was spent by the police on overtime payments to catch a grafitti/street artist.
Surely the money could have been better spent in other policing pursuits?
It seems a high profile collar of a person who defaces buildings is more important than organised crime, terrorism, murder and rape.

On a related note, it's interesting how much easier media hacking/PR stunts have become with the proliferation of blogs and social media.
Step 1: mislead a highly trusted (and followed) publisher
Step 2: watch as they post article based on the false information
Step 3: watch as tens of thousands of others copy and the news go viral over social media
Step 4: profit
As a matter of fact, I'd venture to guess this may have been engineered by Banksy and/or his team (if there is one).

it's a type of graffiti that has been 'copied' several times by several artists all over the world. to say banksy 'stole' this is almost like saying Shakespeare 'stole' the premise of his stories..
i don't think Blek Le Rat ever entirely switched albums to make social statements, or did any of the other artwork that is so incredible to banksy? correct me if i am wrong
