I am a Turkish billionaire

The Turkish Lira, which has always been a hghly amusing currency due to its ridiculously bad exchange rate, fell even further after Turkey voted against the United States last week.

The Turkish Lira is currently trading at 1,578,302 lira to the dollar. This means that, in Turkeish Lira, I am a multi-billionaire. I just wanted to let all you peons know so you can start sucking up to me in order to be close to my wealth and power.

Carry on.

Hah, interesting that you say that because I can't stand Howard Stern. I've never seen his TV show and I haven't heard his radio gig in years. Did he say something about lira, too?

Funny, I went to Turkey a couple of years ago and took 10 million out of the bank. I thought that would be plenty of money until I found out it was like 3 bucks.

Yes, I've wondered about that In an economy that repressed I'll bet you can get domestic servants really cheap. You could live like a Turkish king on a thousan dollars per month.

if you have money you can buy ANY car you want... Renault Meganne is a popular car in Turkey.
I think $$2000/month is more than enough to be a little king in Turkey.
I'm a little king in Roumania

Depends on where you live in Turkey. If you make around $2000 a month in Istanbul, you will be middle class. But you can live like kings with 2k in southeast, those cities near Iraq, Iran and Syria border. I would not recomend anybody to live anywhere in Turkey that has more than %30 kurdish population...

Not a dime!

Here's the blue print:
Marry your cousin, get 10 kids, send them to Scandinavia and let them collect welfare.

I was there 12 years ago and on our first stop my friend and I got $100 USD on our visa?s which was given in Turkish Lira.

We never spent it all during the week and bought so much shit I couldn?t believe it.

I still have at least 800,000 left somewhere, when I tried to get it back in USD 2 years later when I moved I was told it was worth maybe $13 USD

LOL, yeah right. Turkish prisoners don't engage in violent homosexual acts when they're locked up.

Guess what, when you cage people like animals they will act like animals. Not to mention that prisons tend to be packed with less-than-savory people to start with. Nationality doesn't have much to do with it.

The movie, incidentally, is based on a true story. I am sure they embellished, but it isn't like they made it up out of whole cloth.
