was in the industry long while ago 1999 an came back to a manwin/mindgeek, tube infringing disaster where card banging stolen content is the norm now a days.

i got a free site, killer ass 1999 dated .com domain name, suck up to ALL my visitors granting all their wishes no matter how dumb i think it is. they say something i do it. was thinking about a filtered instant chat system [filtering out the russian asian bullshit spam] seems the big boys are suckin up the SERPs, an on top of that ya got googles panda updates that take thriving traffic down to nothing making my efforts fruitless.

lay it on me an a lot of others who are thinking/asking the same thing yet their ego gets in the way. yeah neeko you can join in, no crooked shit, i play by the rules, dont want ak taking my paypal

question = how does a small business man bypass the home depot/ massive tubes an still make a decent living in the adult biz ????

i keep my site clean, msg board no bullshit file lockers, work 10-12 hrs a day an seems like im spinning my wheels.

I know the feeling of is there any point to being the only legit guy in the room.

What type of site do you have? Do you mind sharing the url? It's hard to comment without knowing what I'm commenting on. There are some people that are working hard and working towards a brighter day but other that are surely banging their head against a wall that isn't going to give.

It does pay to be legit and i think it does pay to do the right thing. I remember a conversation I had with another site owner where he asked me what my CB rate was. I said less than 0.5%. He looked at me like i was crazy. He said "we are you so low? You are denying yourself huge opportunity. You don't have to go over the limit but ride close to it and make way more money by doing so."

That really got me thinking but didn't change who I was. That wasn't me. I've always believed in delivering a quality product to the customers that pay me. I think in terms of what else I can give them instead of what else can i take from them.

i agree with ya. i dont have conversations with ppl, i do a lot of reading on this board, learning from others mistakes not withstanding trying to keep up with todays google. i watch my keywords an page descriptions just to keep google happy and they toss me traffic, non converting traffic but is traffic. my sales are almost non existent. i cant compete with todays rip off trend. in todays adult market i dont have the spare coin to toss out and roll the dice.

For us what worked well (easy to say as we had a bunch of employees) but we had guys devoting time to our existing sites and then guys working on new projects to see what would stick. We knew our tgps were way past their glory and we knew we'd have to replace it with something. We happened to get lucky and hit a smashing home run with GayTube. I recommend taking 10% of your time and try spending that time throwing shit at the wall. Smash a dos equis and throw some more shit. Something will stick. When it sticks run with it.

OH DAMN! That goes way back. It's funny because one guy on the other thread said something about windows.exe and it made me think of those damn dialers.

One thing I can say is it never gets easier. I thought it would but it didn't. Around every corner is another temptation to take the short cut. No guarantees it will get you where you want to go but it is less work than the alternative.

When I started (2009) I regretted not having enough $$$ to shoot my own content. So I shot 'amateur'-style stuff and did what I could until I found a better way, one I am happy now has worked out: I do NOT shoot my own content but rather take EXISTING content, already shot, and create something good out of it. No content costs, no one stealing shit (cause chances are it's been stolen a hundred times before). Do I make 100 sales a day with this type of content? No I do not - but neither am I smashing my head against walls, constantly worrying about piracy and, best of all, throwing my own money down a sinkhole. Nothing but pure profit you see....

Shap was working at a time when shooting your own content was KEY. Now, with tubes and piracy, shooting your own content is actually a liability to some extent. Good luck man!

you might be right. my board was designed for user submit. i activated an killed the board an reactivated again, killed and reactivated, tons of god damn times, why, ? because the tubes/ filelockers killed all the traffic. yeah I had it going on for a bit but when youre up against the home depot, ya gotta take that back seat. run your cash against pornhub, bet you loose !!!!

That's a good point. Tubes need no help. But any new free sites trying to give affiliates a way to make money need help to survive. It would be a noble thing for those hating tubes to contribute any way they can to projects like this.
