I can't stand this shit anymore. Time to get Lasik

I've never worn glasses in my life, but during the past year, my vision has gone to absolute shit. It is getting to the point where I am having a hard time reading the text on the computer.

Gonna get Lasik surgery. Anyone had it? Would you recommened it?

Can your eyesight go bad again once you get lasik?

You'll still need glasses or contacts. Your eyes have to be "stable" for a year before they'll operate.

And yes, your eyes can still get worse after the surgery. It's simply a surgery to correct your current vision, not prevent your vision from becoming worse in the future.

Or get a monitor/videocard combo with a high refresh rate. 100 Hz or higher on your monitor will be a lot better on your eyes, and worth the investment.

I know a couple people that had the procedure. Only one had a problem with it. One eye got that starlight effect at night. He went to a 2nd doctor who did a minor adjustment and to try and correct that and it was pretty good after that.

I got it a year ago. I couldn't be more pleased.

I was 20/60 in both eyes and I'm 20/20 now. No haze, starlights, nothing.

Investigate a lot of docs, get reccomendations, and don't use "Crazy Lou's $399.00 Lasik"

I got the lasik about 4 years ago and just had vision problems for the first day, really watery blury, starlight vision and then everything was perfect in a few days. You aren't guaranteed to have 20/20 but find a very reputable surgeon to go to and don't just pick the cheapest. Lasik for me was $4,900 but that was quite some time ago. You can also write off the expense on your taxes as a medical expense.

yeah, you read that right. heh
My vision deteriated so fast in a span of a year, I just figured I'll just get lasik instead of getting glasses or contacts.

60 hz is bad bro! Mess around with the option and see if you can increase it
that kiind of refresh rate will prolly fuck up your eyes or at least make you tired faster

You think that working inside a small microwave, where anyone with a frozen pastry could KILL YOU... is safer than Lasik?

I doubt that my friend...

I had it done 9 months ago.

On a scale of mild to high prescription - I had about a medium.

surgery took about 5 mins.

I Immediately could see 20/20

took about 1 week for eyes to feel normal.

2 months to completely settle in.

Perfect vision.

No problems.

$900 per eye.

Im in Canada... I not too sure about the American Surgeons though.
