i plan on moving away from google products and services, as many as they have and as tied into one another as they are, it's ridiculous they don't have customer service.
get a google problem and it hits several things, and no way to contact them. google ads the exception.

I have to admit I feel like that as well - I use Google Apps to manage my main domain - Email, Drive, Docs etc...
I was thinking about paying for a support package - I think it would be worth it.....
Yes - I don't think they even offer the free version of Apps for your own domains anymore - Not new accounts anyway - It's not expensive, I will have a look and post it in a bit...
I've thought about it but honestly, a lot of the stuff I have seen from the beta testers makes me think its only going to be used by pretentious douchebags, so for that reason, I'm out.
I bought one back in November as part of their Explorer program.
Gave it to Theo as a Xmas gift.
Its pretty cool.
What makes it cool, is that its very new and the future applications is very big for App creators.
When Theo and I were driving back from Google, Venice beach, we came up with some really good APP ideas.
One thing that was really impressive, was the translator. It can translate what you look at and put it in any language, it can hear what someone is saying to you and translate it on the screen very quick.
Very pricy, but pretty cool.
One really good thing is that when they come up with upgrades, all of the people in the explorer program get free hardware upgrades.
One thing I would like to do is video me actually shooting a scene from my perspective. Show what it is I do, what it is I see. I pornographers perspective. lol

We were greeted with a Google Glass representative and got a walk through the facility(HUGE) and a hand on walk through how the product works.
Was pretty cool.
You need to think of the Google glass more as a micro computer than a video camera. And if you have an Android phone its even better. They work very well together and on its own.
We came in as developers for Google Glass and we have access to the Developers forum and access to the developers and architect of the actual device.
Its pretty cool for fun and games, but I see it as a serious tool for people with disabilities. Voice recognition and voice command is perfect. Picked up Theo's voice with Greek accent fine. The visual Identification that the glass sees is pretty cool too.
I was concerned with the 16 GIG internal hard drive being small, but I was informed that you can unload it wirelessly to a google Sky drive via wifi or Blue Tooth with a free Google Plus account. Thought that was pretty cool.
Best description of Glass: Its a "tool" for tech people and a "toy" for people that have everything.
If you like will keep you guys up to date with whats what with it as I dick around with it more.
I will bring for the week of AVN. Its pretty cool.

Wow, just wow! That's crazy sci-fi shit.

I also got google glass explorers about 20 days ago... But I'm returning them (or maybe selling them - although it seems almost nobody is interested in buying them at cost).
I admit they're neat, but apparently my right eye is too weak to use them effectively, and I have trouble reading the small text.
I'm not a huge fan of it trying to sync with my public google+ account given all of the 'big brother' issues.
The battery life is horrible.
They're really heavy on the ear
They get quite warm.
All settings have to be done via the glass app.
They really don't work well in the cold
But, they're beta, and they do have pretty big potential (as mentioned above, the translate app is really cool) - but for me right now, they're basically a basic, crippled webbrowser with a built in camera... Nothing worth $1500USD.

Hmm according to movie "internship" they have customer support

I've had this issue too. Their services are all intertwined and it's extremely difficult to navigate. Also, I'm an Apple user and a Google Glass probably wouldn't excite me too much.
I just don't understand why anyone would want to use Google glass when they can use a mobile phone
people don't want things. Marketing makes them want them. Imo these google glasses are horribles. But it will be usefull to display
some info on the car's windshield for example.

I don't think I'll buy a pair when they first come out as I would prefer to wait for the next generation which will be faster, lighter, fewer bugs and the usual. I will want to go see and try a pair out right away thats for sure.
Sorry if I missed this question but what do you do if you already wear glasses? Does this sit inside or outside of your regular glasses? Can you adjust the display to see it like you do an SLR camera?
There appears to be enough practical everyday uses that they wont sit in a draw gathering dust although I can't see why I need them now either.
This or something like it will catch on soon enough, mobile phones will be replaced, most people will claim they cant exist without them and we'll all be walking around recording each other. Ugh
